MY 10 MINUTE FACE

Before beginning my internship 2 weeks ago I was definitely one to not wear makeup every day. Especially with it being the summer season there's nothing better than having a makeup free and fresh face as much as possible. But since I am in an office environment every day and  I can't deny that I love getting dressed in a smart and business attire.

It's great finding little gems which I can wear every day without my skin freaking out, but most importantly finding products that last all day while looking natural and feeling lightweight. This speedy makeup routine features only a few key products and takes a maximum of 10 minutes to complete. That's what I love most about these products is that they are all very natural, so there is no worry about harsh lines or spending a long period of time blending and blending.

PREP
Every morning I begin with a cleansed face using my usual skincare routine. I then follow up by moisturising my face with the 'Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Daycream'. This gives my skin nourishment while also getting rid of any dry patches that I tend to get around the perimeter of my face. What is great about this moisturiser is that it doesn't leave you with an oily/greasy residue on the skin. Even though I have quite dry skin on the perimeter of my face I tend to get oily around the center of my face, especially when I’m wearing makeup.

BASE
I start off by using the ultimate concealer of all drugstore concealers. The Catrice ‘Liquid Camouflage Concealer’ is my absolute favourite for covering any imperfections and to even out my skin. For such an affordable concealer it is very comparable to the high end concealers, especially the ‘Mac Pro Longwear Concealer’. I have a detailed post written on this concealer here. I focus the concealer more on the center of my face and blend it outwards. Around the perimeter of the face I use the 'Bourjois Paris Bronzing Primer'. This is a mouse type consistency and is great for bronzing up the face as it is more on the warmer side. I love to set this bronzing primer with the ‘Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun’, this is the perfect bronzing shade for creating both a natural and dramatic look depending on what you are going for. It blends effortlessly and gives you a perfect bronze glow no matter what skin tone you have. To set the center of my face I have been using a combination of the setting powder and the banana powder from the 'Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette'. I give this a light sweep down my nose, over my upper lip and chin and with that I am set for the day with no worry about getting oily.

EYES
To prime the eyes, I use my ‘Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft-Ochre’. I don’t know how this product works but it’s a must for anyone who has oily eyelids like I do. Without any base my eyeshadow wouldn’t even last an hour, so using this product is a must and cannot be skipped.

For eyeshadow there is only one palette that does everything, my ‘Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette’ has every shade I could want for a natural eye, no matter if I want a matte or shimmery look. I always use my trusty ‘Primark Liquid Eyeliner Pen’ to line my upper lash line with one quick swipe. I have had this for months now and it is still as good as it was the first time I used it. Every other eyeliner pen I have used dries out after a month, so when I found this little gem I was just blown away. Primark has really outdone themselves with this beauty product for just €2.50. Mascaras differ for me as I am always looking out for the best of the best, I always look for a mascara which separates my lashes while thickening them as much as possible. I always grab my ‘Maybelline Falsies Mascara’ as it does just that in seconds. There is no worry with the mascara transferring to the under eye area throughout the day. It is almost waterproof without the torture of spending hours removing it at the end of the day.

BROWS
For the brows I always use my ‘Sleek Eyebrow Kit in Light’. This is the ultimate dupe for the ‘Benefit Eyebrow Kit’. From the packaging to the layout and even the longevity of the product itself. The consistency of the ‘wax’ is creamier in texture and application. Therefore, you have it lasting all day without the hard waxy tug on your eyebrow hairs when sculpting and filling the brows.

LIPS

On the lips I use the ‘Primark P.S Love Matte Long Last Lipstick in Nude‘. It is the perfect nude shade with a hint of pink undertones which is appropriate for everyday and there is no need to spend time lining the lips and being worried about re-applying it constantly throughout the day. This lipstick doesn't dry out the lips like other matte lipsticks. It has a creamy texture and the longevity of this lipstick goes beyond any drugstore lipstick I have tried in the past.

Hope you enjoyed this post on my quick everyday makeup routine,

My Favourite 2015 Beauty Products!

Hello lovelies,
It's that time of year where I begin to reflect on what products I've used on a constant rotation throughout the year of 2015 and what products I found myself using on the regular. I definitely used these products more than any other products in my collection. These are products I tend to use weekly if not daily. I don't think I could not have any of these products in my collection after noticing how much I actually use them and how in love I am with every single product shown. As you can see these products are for an array of purposes and some are from the drugstore and others are more high end. I definitely have more drugstore than high end in my collection but I absolutely love the feeling of finding a high end/drugstore product which suits me perfectly and a product which I fall deeply in love with.

These are just a few of the products which I used the most this year and I know that I will use just as much for the coming year of 2016;

Sleek Cosmetics Eyebrow Kit: This is definitely my number 1 used product of 2015. Even if I'm not wearing makeup but I am still going to town or to college I always like to fill in my brows as I have naturally blonde eyebrows and even though I dye them I love having that definition while still being natural. €10.99 // Here

Mac 'Give Me Sun' Bronzer: Without a doubt, this is my favourite bronzer of all time and worth every penny. I remember when I first bought this I was like will it really be worth over €30 but I am so glad I bit the bullet and went for it. Even though I am on the paler side this is just magical and gives such a nice warm glow to the skin. It doesn't matter if I am wearing full coverage foundation or if I am wearing just a bit of concealer, It just gives such a warmth to the skin without looking very orange/too heavy. €31// Here

Mac 266 Eyebrow Brush: I've had this brush for over 5 years now, It is still in perfect condition and it is the best brush that I have found for my eyebrows and it is great at getting that defined yet still natural eyebrow shape. I have quite naturally thick brows so I absolutely love filling them in and really showing their real shape. I also use this brush for under the bottom lash line for eyeshadow and it is also perfect at creating that very popular sharp cut crease. €22 // Here

Mac 187 Duo-Fibre Stippling Face Brush: This is a great brush because of it's versatility and again like my other Mac brush I've had this for years now, I really do think it is luck of the draw when it comes to Mac brushes. Sometimes they are perfect and other times you might get a brush which just shreds and shreds. I use this brush mostly for bronzing up the face and neck area as it doesn't pack on the bronzer. It distributes the bronzer very evenly and naturally, This gives you the ability to build it up to your prefered preference. €47.50 // Here

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: How much have I raved about this powder in my blog posts. It is so inexpensive while still being an outstanding powder at really setting the foundation without looking powdery and cakey. It is perfect for us girls that tend to get oily throughout the day. There's nothing worse than feeling yourself getting more and more oily during the day and having to constantly top up on powder in order to control the oil. With this magical product I don't need to do all of that, I do it once and that's it for the day. Its truly amazing! €5.99 // Here

Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer: This concealer is the best drugstore multi-use concealer that I have found. It comes in close second to my 'Mac Pro Long Wear'. It is perfect for both highlighting under the eyes for that brightening 'Kim Kardashian' look and also great for covering some imperfections instead of wearing a foundation. At just €3.99 it is an absolute BARGAIN. // Here

Bourjois Paris Bronzing Primer: This product is a great dupe for the 'CHANEL SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL' Bronzer. It is incredible for bronzing up the face either on its own or what I do is I set it with my Mac 'Give Me Sun' bronzer, they are the most perfect and beautiful pairing. This is great even on it's own with no foundation or anything, It creates a natural bronze look without looking like you actually have bronzer on your face. €12.99// Here

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan: This tan is just 'WOW OH WOW'. I have really grown to deeply love this tan and I always go back to it no matter what tan I start to use. It gives a perfect shade of tan without looking orange or too dark. I find that this tan almost develops more even after I wash off the top layer. Its applies so evenly and I never have to worry about streaks or any patchiness when applying this tanning mousse. I love that it is tinted, therefor I can see where I have applied the tan and If I have missed a spot. I leave this tan on all night as I like my tan to be quite dark without looking orange. Marissa Carter is the tanning goddess so whatever product she releases I just know instantly that I will absolutely love it. This is also perfect for tanning the outer perimeter of the face, it gives the most natural bronze look and doesn't wash off as soon as you cleanse your face. €7.99 // Here

Mac 'Soft Ochre' Paint Pot: This is a must for me whenever I wear eyeshadow, my eyelids are the bane of my life as they tend to get oily throughout the day and any eyeshadow that I apply will just crease instantly and just lose its structure if I don't apply a base. This base is perfect for canceling out any discolouration on the lid such as redness or any little veins that you might have. It is also a light coloured base so it allows you to see the true colour of the eyeshadows you apply and really allows them to be intensified. The staying power of my eyeshadows when I use this base is just amazing and it will definitely be a repurchase if I actually use it up in 2016. I've had this for ages now and I am constantly using it, It also still hasn't dried out which is a major bonus. €21 // Here

Mac 'Viva Glam II' Lipstick: When I first bought this lipstick I actually kind of regretted buying it as I felt it didn't suit my skin tone or it wasn't really the colour that I would normally choose as it has a kind of greyish tone to it. But I started using it again this winter and oh my lord it is now my most used lipstick for definite, I just love that shade range now and I have really started to experiment with the more darker and grey-ish toned lipsticks as I feel they are so easy to wear and they really suit my lip shape which thankfully I was blessed with a more fuller lip shape. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves 'Velvet Teddy'. €20 // Here

Primark Eyeliner Pen: How impressed am I with this liquid pen eyeliner? Majorly impressed. I've had this for a few months now and I use it every single day that I have college and it still hasn't dried out one bit, with most eyeliner pens they always end up drying out after 1-2 months and you haven't even used up all the product inside the pen. This was so affordable at just €1.50/€2 and I will be forever repurchasing it as long as they have it in stock. The pigmentation is an insane black and it is so easy to apply. You can create both a thin and thick line very easily but I have to say I'm not talented enough to create a well defined thin flick as the pen isn't very slim. // Here

Hope you enjoyed this little insight into what
products I love for the year of 2015.

My Top 10 Drugstore Beauty Products!

Hello lovelies,
As ye should know by now I am a major drugstore junkie. I am a sucker for boots sales and I always get caught when I say "I'm only going to go in there for a quick browse". I thought it'd be a great idea to show you what things I love that are from the drugstore and these are things I seriously can't leave without. I have been repurchasing these specific products for months and even years now. Everybody loves a great bargain and we most certainly get that when it comes to drugstore makeup. The makeup brands that we see in the drugstore have come such a long way in recent years and have really stepped up their game. The number of drugstore brands such as Rimmel, Maybelline, Seventeen ect that have come up with dupes to those higher end brands is just music to our ears.

Lets start of with base shall we?

St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub - This is a scrub I use daily to get all that grim off my face that we all feel builds up especially in these warmer months. This scrub has definitely changed my skin and I couldn't live without it. It has been well hyped all over the internet and it definitely lives up to all expectations. I love using a scrub at night as I feel after a long day our skin really needs something that will gentle exfoliate the skin without being too harsh, a product to invigorate the skin and get those blood cells pumping in order to stop any dullness that may occur and of course avoid any build up of dead skin cells around the face especially in the T zone area where we tend to produce more oil.
St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub €5.79 // Here

L'Oreal MLumi Magique Illuminating Highlighting Base/Primer  - This illuminating face primer is definitely a hidden gem of mine. It is perfect for those days/nights when you want a real glow to the skin without looking like a disco ball. This primer is a runny type consistency and it also has a white payoff without giving a white cast to the face. It is a very illuminating primer without having big chunks of glitter in it. I love using illuminating primers as I still haven't found a foundation that is meant to give a glow to the skin without making me look oily. My trick is to use an illuminating primer with a matte foundation and then over top use more highlighter than I usually would whether that is a cream or a powder.
L'Orèal Lumi Magique Illuminating Highlighting Base /Primer €14.99 // Here

Maybelline 24Hour Pro Matte Foundation - Now if you've seen my Living For It Friday Blogpost then you know how much I have raved about this foundation. This foundation is definitely the best foundation to come out of the drugstore in my opinion. For us girls that love our high coverage but could never seem to get that with drugstore foundations, Maybelline have come to save the day. It is definitely a foundation that is matte and if you have any dryness on the skin you must make sure your skin is well prepped and moisturised. With most foundations that are labelled matte you would think "flat" but in no way is this foundation flat, it almost has this underlying dew to it which just makes your skin look so flawless.
Maybelline 24Hour Pro Matte Foundation €12.29 // Here

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - If you haven't tried this powder before then I seriously don't know where you have been hibernating for the last few years. This is 100% the best drugstore setting powder invented. For any oily girls out there this is a life savior, I tend to get oily around my T-Zone whenever I have foundation on. After a few hours wear we all tend to get a little oily and this just stops any of this. I never seem to have to powder repeatedly throughout the day with this powder. It locks my foundation in place all day and keeps it looking flawless and zero shine. This is the perfect powder for both everyday wear and also for those late night outs.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder €4.99 // Here

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Milk'- Last year when I found out that NYX was going to be stocked in Ireland it was definitely music to my ears. I have been obsessed with the whole NYX range for ages now and their Jumbo Eye Pencils are definitely my top purchased product. This shade milk is the perfect first purchase of Nyx in my opinion. It is the most amazing base for eyeshadow as it keeps it lasting way longer than if you were to not use any base. It also is a white shade so it brings out the true colour of the eyeshadow and really intensifies the colour of the shadow you are using. It seriously makes any eyeshadow shade x10 times more pigmented than what you would generally get from an shadow.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Milk' €4.99 // Here

Sleek Eyebrow Kit in 'Light'- This is my far the most well used product I have in my makeup collection by a mile. This eyebrow kit has both a wax side and a powder side to set the wax in place and to make sure it stays in place all day. This brow kit is a dupe for the 'Benefit Eyebrow Kit'. Its is such an inexpensive kit for the insane quality you get. This kit comes in 4 shades (Light, Dark, Extra Dark, Black) and it is perfect for creating both a natural everyday brow and also for that well defined brow. The wax goes through the brows very smoothly and doesn't make the brows look clumpy. This sleek kit also comes with a mini angled synthetic brow brush, a rounded synthetic brow brush and also a mini tweezers.(How adorable right?)
Sleek Eyebrow Kit in 'Light' €10.99 // Here

Bourjois Bronzing Primer Mouse - I purchased this product quite awhile ago and I just can't get enough. The bronzing primer can be used both under your base as a primer for the bronzer and over the base makeup. This is perfect for those days when you want that natural bronzed makeup look without having the look of any powder sitting on the skin. If you are a contour lover like myself then you will be very happy to hear that this is perfect for sculpting out those cheek bones. This is such a universal product as you can use it all over the body, a tip when using this product is to mix some of the mouse with your regular body moisturiser, this gives such a natural bronzed glow to the skin. Another dupe? Oh yes, If you're looking for a much more affordable alternative to the 'Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel' which is €39 then this is a perfect product for you.
Bourjois Bronzing Primer Mouse €12.99 // Here

NYX Matte Lipstick 'Natural Mauve'- The NYX Matte Lipstick range is just amazing. The longevity and pigmentation of these lipsticks is just out of this world. They last so long on the lips and the range of colours that are available is just mind blowing. Whether you are the type of girl who goes for the more mauvey/brown shades or the type of girl who likes the bright shades they have the perfect colours. This is by far my favourite shade in the range, It is definitely the well known 'Kylie Jenner' shade and I am obsessed. It goes onto the lips very smoothly and even though it is a matte lipstick it doesn't stick or bring out any dry areas of the lips.
NYX Matte Lipstick 'Natural Mauve' €7.49 // Here

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick 'Bare It All'- Wet n Wild is defintiely a brand which have just blown me away. Their products are so inexpensive but most importantly, they give you such value for money with their amazing pigmentation and array of different products. This lipstick is definitely my most used Wet n Wild product. Again it is my favourite mauvey/brown shade and it is a well known dupe for the 'Mac Blankety'. This lipstick lasts ages and I love how different the top of the lipstick is compared to your average triangle shaped lipstick. It goes onto the lips so easily and this range of lipsticks provide a huge array of shades from your vampy/dark colours all the way to the nudey/pinks.

Wet n Wild Lipstick 'Bare It All' €2.99 // Here

Rimmel Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black Glamour'- This liquid eyeliner has been in the collection for years and I have repurchased this product way too many times to even count. It has an amazing longevity and most importantly, the colour payoff is extremely black. The brush is very thin so this makes it easy to get your preferred eyeliner width, whether you are going for that thin everyday liner or whether you are going for that strong and bold liner. This is the perfect liquid eyeliner and I don't have any reason to go and buy a more expensive one.

Rimmel Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black Glamour' €6.99 // Here
