MAKEUP CRUSH MONDAY!

WHAT IS MAKEUP CRUSH MONDAY? Well..I've been wanting to start a series for awhile now. And just last night i was trying to think of something with a catchy name, but not something that is very obvious or generic. I also wanted to pick a day which i had to do these posts maybe once every month or even more frequently depending on what product i feel fits the description.

For this series i was thinking that i would maybe get a product that has been talked about in the beauty world and try them out or even just show you a product i have been loving and give a honest review on how i feel it works with me, whether it being a makeup product, skincare or even hair care, anything beauty related.

So without further a due, for this blogpost i thought id start with a purchase i made this week but i did have the sample size before but this week i bought the bigger size! Its the they're real mascara. In this blogpost i will also be giving a before and after picture, as you may already know I have blonde eyelashes, they are long and full but because they are blonde you don't really see that.

The thing i absolutely 'lovee' about this mascara is the fact that it's a rubber wand so i feel the bristles of the wand really get into the roots of my lashes and don't just coat them which is what happens with most mascaras, with other mascaras the lashes are coated but the roots are showing through as a lighted colour. But with the they're real mascara the formula is quite wet so it coats the lashes really well and this elongates them and with a second coat the lashes become thicker and thicker.

The top of the brush has this round effect with smaller little mascara spikes i guess you could call them which make it such a breeze to get into the inner corner lashes. This addition to the mascara wand makes coating the bottom lashes also very easy and you can actually coat them without getting mascara all over your under eye. Nothing i hate more is having this big mascara wand with product on it, how do companies expect you to first get into the roots of your lashes and secondly coat your tiny bottom lashes with such a big wand.

The lasting power of this mascara is by far the most amazing thing about this product, with other mascara's like my covergirl one and the miss sporty ones the lasting power is just for 3 or 4 hours and then my lashes are still covered but its like there's not much product on them. But with this, especially when im in college for 9 hours even more some days and the fact that the only makeup i wear is mascara i really like to have it lasting atleast 6 hours and by god this does. It's truly a god sent!!!

Before

After
Just one coat! Amazing results already.

2-3 coats.

As you can see there is a major difference in my lashes, (FYI: I do have some leftover mascara from taking it off for this blogpost) and this mascara is truly worth every bit of hype and the price. I would totally recommend everyone to go out and try this mascara, its a god sent for me and i couldnt go without using it, nothing else compares in my opinion!

MY AUTUMN FAVOURITES

Since its coming in to autumn months i thought it'd be my inspiration to put up a new blogpost FINALLY!

So i've been loving the autumn trends for this year, there something i can wear and everyone can wear! whether they have pale skin like me or dark skinned, no matter what body shape you are, EVERYONE can put them into their everyday look!

So for this blogpost I will be beauty and for the next blogpost I will be doing fashion!

So my my favoutite foundations for this month will have to be mac studio fix foundation in NW20, now this colour suits me best when i'm going out or when i have a little bit of tan on, i don't wear makeup on a daily basis so its perfect for staying on through out the night and not caking up if you blend it in properly. It gives no flashback and i love the finish it gives. Many people do complain that this foundation breaks them out and usually i do think the same, it wouldn't break me out badly but i would find i get a spot yet i don't know if that's by coincidence or if it really is the foundation but the last time i used it which was Sunday i didn't get ANY breakouts so i think its due to my skincare routine!

The next foundation is the double wear foundation by estee lauder! This would be a foundation i would wear if i was going town or just in the day instead of a night as it has some SPF in it! which is great for the day as it protects your skin! But for the night when you're taking pictures it will give a white caste over your face. The coverage on this foundation is amazing and there is NO cakiness at all! i am in-love with the foundation and must get the full size.

I have 4 favourite eyshadows for this month, for an everyday eye look i use macs 'retro speck' on the lid with sleeks 'boxed' and 'wrapped up' in the outer corner and blended into the crease. This look opens up the eye and also gives it the autumn look with the brown and a bit of purple in the crease.
This colour is amazing for opening up the eyes and such a natural lid colour. Its so blendable and and diverse its amazing!

'Boxed'

'Wrapped Up'

For a night look i like to use a bronze eyeshadow all over the lid which is sleeks bronze shade from the i-Divine storm palette. I cant find the name of it anywhere. It gives such dimension to the eye that it doesn't look like just one colour, if i want to add a colour i add the 'boxed' colour into the crease and outer corner.
These sleek eyeshadows are my favourite this month! They are so blendable and silky its amazing. They are also so pigmented, the colour payoff is UNBELIEVABLE.

My favourite bronzer will have to be the dior bronzer in 'Demo Poudre Soleil Tan' this has little shimmer particles in it and it gives such a great glow to the skin without looking over shimmery and cheap! a little goes a long way so i only need to touch the bonzer and it gives such pigmentation!! I think a strong highlight is also very in the autumn so it gives the best of both.

For this season i definitely think bold brows are a must, so i love using my urban decay eyeshadow in 'naked' to fill them in with a mac 266 brush and if i want a more sculpted brow i like to use my rimmel eyebrow pencil in 'blonde' this gives the eyeshadow something more to stick to and makes them look amazing!!

And of course my favourite lipstick would have to be 'Va Va Violet' by revlon, i did review this already on my other blogpost but this is just such an amazing pigmented lipstick that i am inlove with this, its such a daring lipstick and i'm so surprised that i can get away with it but i am so happy it is in trend this autumn. Another lipstick that has caught my eye is 'othodox' by revlon or macs 'fixed on drama' and i cannot wait to get my hands on it, it is a more berry lipstick rather than a purple vampy style.

My Favourite Drugstore Mascaras

So here it is my first ever blog-post! For my first post I decided to talk about my favourite beauty item, something I could never live without.Whether I am going to town or school or anywhere, mascara is a must! I don't know whether it is to do with my love for big lashes or that I have naturally blonde eyelashes I just always have to have some mascara on.

Throughout the years of loving makeup I have tried quite a few mascaras, from high end mascaras to the drugstore favourites. But overall drugstore mascaras have been the best. All these drugstore mascaras I have all bought in boots.

The first mascara I am going to review is one of the most favourite mascara choices throughout the world and especially among the beauty guru family. It is the maybelline falsies mascara by maybelline. This mascara is perfect for making my eyelashes very dramatic looking and insanely black, I must say I do prefer putting an elongating mascara on first just to get the full effect of the mascara. Because my eyelashes are blonde I love the blackness of this mascara and the way it shows the fullness of my eyelashes that you couldn't really see normally.

The second mascara is also in the same brand as the mascara I just reviewed, it is the one by one mascara by maybelline. This is by far my favourite maybelline mascara, it gives such length to my eyelashes and the thickness can be built up so easily without clumps. Another thing that also made it my favourite is that the root of my lashes were also coated which is normally a problem for me.

My current favourite mascara is the miss sporty's pump up mascara booster in 001 black, I love the length and thickness it gives my eyelashes. It's very black and very cheap. The downsides to this mascara is that its very wet so it takes longer to dry and it might get onto your under eye area which is very annoying. My mother has been using the waterproof version of this mascara and finds that it doesn't smudge down under the lashes which is a bonus to people that this happens to. Valued at €4.99 it is worth the try!!
